Menanamkan sikap kekompakan dan kekeluargaan melalui kegiatan Upgrading

Jumat s/d sabtu tanggal 25-26 Maret 2016, Himpunan Mahasiswa Otomotif Fakultas Teknik Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta 2016, mengadakan acara upgrading dengan mengangkat tema “Melandasi Spirit Brother Hood dengan Kekompakan dan Keterbukaan”.
Acara tersebut berlangsung di Aula Waduk Sermo, Hargowilis, Kokap, Kulon Progo dengan dihadiri sebanyak 31 pengurus sebagai peserta, dan sebanyak 10 orang dari Dewan Pertimbangan Mahasiswa sebagai panitia. Kegiatan dimulai pada pukul 15.00 diawali dengan games outbond dari DPO, yang berlangsung sangat meriah dan disambut antusias dari para peserta. Pada games ini para pengurus saling bercanda, dan mempererat keakraban tentunya. 

 

Tidak itu saja,  kegiatanpun semakin seru menjelang makan malam, semua peserta berbaris berhadapan dan makan malam bersama-sama, diselingi dengan  candaan dan foto narsis bersama. Sayangnya, cuaca disana kurang mendukung karena hujan yang sangat lebat sehingga membatasi acara kegiatan upgrading, namun itu lantas tidak membuat panitia dan peserta patah semangat, kegiatan tetap dilanjutkan dengan cara indoor yaitu adalah sesi curhat dan pengeluaran uneg-uneg yang ada diantara pengurus. Sehingga terjalinlah suasana saling keterbukaan dan saling support satu sama lain. Seusai acara tersebut peserta dipersilahkan istirahat untuk tidur, namun tanpa diduga pada pukul 02.00 pagi, seluruh peserta dibangunkan, acaranya tidak lain adalah jerit malam dimana seluruh pengurus tidak tahu dan tidak ada persiapan, namun inilah yang justru menjadi momen yang tak terlupakan. Sepanjang perjalanan jerit malam menyusuri waduk sermo peserta mendapat pengarahan dan masukkan dari seluruh anggota DPO. Kegiatan Upgrading diakhiri dengan api unggun dan foto-foto bersama antar pengurus dengan DPO.
